Walking into Fish I felt a sense of relaxation. The place was lit up by natural light coming from the many windows surrounding the restaurant. The large oval bar is located in the center of the restaurant and adds to the ambience of the place with it's dim mini shades for lighting. There are many choices on Fish's menu from Crab Cakes, Alaskan Snow Crab to Mahi Mahi (which I just might have to try next time), there's something to suit all taste buds here. There are also a lot of appetizers on the menu for those on a budget. I ordered the: Mississippi Fried Catfish Breaded in cornmeal and served with tartar sauce (served with your choice of two sides) $9.99. I ordered seasoned fries and garlic redskin whipped potatoes for my two sides. Raspberry tea to drink. The portions were generous and the catfish was fresh, yummy and just might be the best catfish I've ever had! I will definitely be back soon for this entrée. The seasoned fries were so tasty I skipped the ketchup, which I never do being a ketchupholic. The garlic redskin whipped potatoes were also very good, a first for me and being a fan of red potatoes made for a tasty side. Overall Fish adds a new twist to seafood and you will not be disappointed if you are a seafood lover. My biggest complaint would be that the service was not that great, mainly because we waited 35 minutes for our food. They were busy and this might explain why it took so long.
Friday's & Saturday's Fish has reasonably priced $3.50 pitchers of beer. Might just have to check that out some night before
hitting the downtown strip called Walnut Street. Also, Fish's Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm, it's two for the price of
one on all drinks. Fish website
