From the Mail Bag: Fire Safety Education

Neighborhood

Hey everyone-

I recently got some information from the Springfield Fire Dept. about fire safety education for youth. The Springfield Fire Dept. has an "open door" policy for individuals wanting a tour of the fire stations. Any fire station should have people available to give tours during the hours of 8-5 (as long as the firemen are not out on a call). If you desire for a fireman to talk with a youth about fire safety, call Randy Villines at 864-1501 to set that up. The department also has a program for juvenile fire-setters. For more info on that, contact Ben Basham at 864-1511.

I hope that info is helpful!
